The training area is about 100 meter from the main building
There are many ways to measure logs. In Sweden we measure in what we call m³fub. That means m³ total wood volume without air and bark.
You can measure logs one by one (r² x π x length) You can measure logs on a timber truck then you measure the logs as a unite in a box (height x length x width) and withdraw bark and air
Hi Jan,
ReplyDeleteDo you have access to forestry areas or is this actually part of the school? How many students do you have in a class and how old are they?
Sunita
Basic training as you see in the picture are preside at school, but later on in second class they will practice at industry areas or in the forest.
DeleteThey are about 20 students in every class and the age is between 16-20years

DeleteI'm not a math-person so it seems a bit complicated to me! Is it easy for the student's to learn to measure?
We do our very best to teach everyone some basic math and some basic economy but it isn´t easy for all. You have to study hard to reach the very top!
