(5.) Watch out for timber!


We also practicing in real forest environment and we study really hard work to.
"It's going down, I'm yelling timber, You better move, it´s not a dance!"

    Whose forests do you work in?

    Which motorized equipment, does the students learn to handle at the school?

  2. We mostly work in our own forest "Vastra Gotaland County"
    But we also work in private owned forest.

    We learn how to use chainsaw, harvester, forwarder, skidder and tractors.

      It's really good that there are schools like yours! It must be worth a lot to the students to learn to handle these violent pieces of equipment under school conditions. And even get a diploma! Or are there students who fail to learn to handle this things?

    2. If the students fail to reach diploma we also fail to teach but yes that happens but not very often.

    3. If I got this right so you working with private landowners in their forests. Will they charge you or get school paid for you to ensure that their forests will be groomed ? Does the school own land or is it also in ex local authority in charge of land for the students to have the opportunity to learn forestry work ?

  3. The school will charge private landowners, but reduces the amount because of some minor errors that can appear, after al it´s students.
