Yesterday i
found four eggs from our Lampropeltis
mexicana thayeri. Also known as Thayer's Kingsnake, variable Kingsnake or Nuevo
Leon Kingsnake. This snake is normally found in Mexico.
Three eggs looks good but the fourth is rather
smaller so I don’t think it’s healthy and will hatch. But we’ll see. Stranger
things have happened.
We have goals for the students that they shall
breed animals so it’s a good thing we get offspring like this. Then the student
gets experience of breeding snakes which is a good thing if they choose this
line of work in the future.
